Shallow Pen

Seasons colder, much colder than before
Seven seasons colder, much colder than before
And though I'd like to be, oh so powerful you see
While others dream of living free, within my shallow dreams I plead
Guilty

Slipped in moved on so crowded so aloof I
Knelt down waited, I wanted it to come
Still I'd like to see, what this misery might seed
Though I may look all right to you within my shallow shell I bleed

Though it seems I've likened everything I've hated long before
While my dreams got thirsty and temptation stripped me to the core

Healthy progress just seems a bit obscene I
Watched my whits die, to late to say goodbye
To all I'd like to shed, all this beauty I'd defend
Though all my faculties are dead and I've no more hands to lend

Though it seems I've likened everything I've hated long before
While my dreams got thirsty and temptations stripped me to the core
Within my shallow grave, I lay my head to rest
Among the tears I've cried upon my mother's breast
As I go down below to flush if deep inside
I have to face the truth as who I am just died

Just died
